Swan Hill Library, in collaboration with Youth Inc, is set to host its annual and much-loved Loud @ the Library later this month, giving young local performers the chance to take centre stage in front of a supportive community audience.
The free event will be held on Friday 27 March 2026 from 7pm at Swan Hill Library, with performers aged 12 to 25 encouraged to get involved.
Libraries Manager Camille Cullinan said the long-running event had become a much-anticipated platform for young people to build confidence and celebrate their creativity.
“Loud @ the Library has been a successful event for well over a decade now, and it continues to be a brilliant way to showcase our local youth talent.
“It gives young performers the confidence to put themselves out there, try something new, and take that next step towards future opportunities,” Ms Cullinan said.
Ms Cullinan encourages young people of all musical styles and performance backgrounds to get involved.
“Over the years we’ve seen it all - bands, solo musicians, dancers, duos, and all kinds of instruments, from saxophones to conga drums. It’s always an exciting and entertaining night,” Ms Cullinan said.
Community members of all ages are encouraged to come along, join in on the fun and support the performers, with no bookings required for audience members. Free pizza and soft drinks will be provided for all attendees, making it a fun night out for the whole community.
Young people interested in performing can register now by visiting library.swanhill.vic.gov.au/Whats-on/Loud-the-Library or call 03 5036 2480.
