How do I join the library?

Fill in an application form at your local library or the Mobile Library. You need to show identification with your name and current address on it.

You may need to join as a temporary member if you do not live permanently in:

  • Swan Hill Rural City
  • Buloke Shire
  • Wakool Shire
  • Gannawarra Shire

Please note: Children under the age of 15 require a parent or guardian to sign the application form.

Can I join the library if I am just visiting the area?

Can I join the library if I am just visiting the area?

Members of other Victorian libraries belonging to the Swift Consortium can use their own library card to borrow from all branches of the Swan Hill Library.

If your not a Swift Consortium Library member you can join the Swan Hill Library as a temporary member.

Temporary members will need provide identification and pay a $20.00 refundable deposit. Temporary members can borrow up to 3 items at a time.

Yes, children from as young as newborn can have their own library card.
