Seed Library initiative takes root in Robinvale!

Robinvale Library is set to launch its brand new Seed Library for the community to enjoy, on Saturday, 16 March at 10.30am.

Swan Hill Regional Libraries Manager, Camille Cullinan said the brand new Seed Library aims to promote sustainable gardening practices and support the local Robinvale community to grow their own food.

“The initiative will provide a central hub where you can borrow or drop in seeds to get your garden or someone else’s started.

“Enjoy watching your plants grow and when they go to seed, collect the seeds and drop some back into the library for others to enjoy,” she said.

Ms Cullinan encourages the Robinvale Community to come along for the official launch and learn how they can get involved.

“The Seed Library will be proudly launched by Jade Benham MP State Member for Mildura, with the event set to be a great morning out.

“There will be a themed story time and crafts activities for children to enjoy, morning tea will be provided along with a tour of the Robinvale Community Garden to inspire the green thumbs,” Ms Cullinan said.
