The Swan Hill Regional Library will be hosting two author talks in December!
Darry Fraser, author of the recently published novel, The Good Woman of Renmark will be holding a free author talk on Wednesday, 4 December at 2.30pm.
Darry is an author of Australian fast-paced adventure historical fiction and contemporary fiction who lives and works on Kangaroo Island. Her previous novels include Daughter of the Murray, Where the Murray River Runs and The Widow of Ballarat.
This will be Darry’s third author talk at the Swan Hill Library
JB Rowley, author of Whisper my secret : a memoir will hold a free author’s talk at the Swan Hill Regional Library on Wednesday, 11 December at 7pm.
Her book is a true story of a devoted mother who carried a heartbreaking secret to her grave. JB was inspired to write her mother’s memoir after she found her secret hidden in an old cash tin in a wardrobe after her mother’s death. When she was a child, her mother once said she would give her a story to write one day.
Library Information Officer, Tracey Free said they were thrilled to be welcoming the two authors to the region in December.
“We had a fantastic response to Darry’s last book and previous author talks, so we’re really excited to see what she has in store for us this time.
“JB is an award winning author who also writes murder mysteries under the pseudonym of Brigid George.
“Join us to hear JB talk about the different writing styles she’s used in writing a memoir and writing mysteries and how she came to write “Whisper my Secret,” Ms Free said.
