Do you like to stay up to date with news and information from Council? To have a say on decisions that affect your local community? To know what’s happening around our region?
You can help improve the way Swan Hill Rural City Council communicates and how you can get involved in local decisions by completing Council’s Communication and Engagement Survey.
The survey asks what communication methods you use, how you find out about Council news and information, and what interaction you have with Council and Council decision-making.
It’s anonymous and confidential.
And there’s a bonus – everyone who fills in the survey can go into the draw to win $200 Swan Hill shopping dollars. That’s $200 to spend in any participating store in Swan Hill.
Mayor Les McPhee said the community’s feedback would help Council communicate with local residents in the best ways possible.
“The results will help to shape our new Communication and Engagement Strategy – a strategy that sets out goals for improving the way we get information out to the community and how we seek input and ideas from locals,” Cr McPhee said.
“Ultimately it will help get better outcomes for you and your community, so I really encourage community members to take the time to fill out the survey either online or in person.”
Cr McPhee and other Councillors will host a community barbecue in Campbell Street, Swan Hill this Saturday morning, and will be at the Robinvale Community Market in Caix Square next Saturday, 14 July. Council officers will be there to assist people to fill out the survey.
“This is a chance for people to fill out the survey, but also to talk face-to-face with Councillors. I look forward to chatting with plenty of local people over the weekend.”
The survey is open until 31 July. Click here to fill out the survey online, or collect a hard copy from Council offices in Swan Hill and Robinvale, the Swan Hill Library and the Swan Hill Region Information Centre.
