I absolutely loved this perfectly written novel by Claire Zorn. I would read it over and over again and recommend it to anybody. Zorn has hit the nail on the head when it comes to writing a young adult novel, you feel all the emotions throughout this wonderful read. You follow the life of Sam Hudson/Booner, after he loses his mum, and is left with no other option than to move in with his Aunty, whom his mother stopped talking to a few years back after an incident no one talks about. Sam connects instantly again with his cousin Minty, adopts a passion for surfing, falls for a girl, and discovers who he really is. Absolutely amazing.
