This great read is told through the point of view of Tim, a 17-year-old recovering alcoholic, who struggles with the choices of adult life, and Alice, who never holds onto relationships and constantly feels the pressure of her large family.
Through the mismatched jumble of their lives, the two come together and form an unlikely relationship and end up falling in love but not without some rather large, life changing, bumps in the road.
This novel, brilliantly written, lets you in on what it’s like to be an alcoholic, a-packet-a-day smoker, a child in a family of 10, and someone struggling with the management of money whilst their dad is in hospital for months.
