The hours will be extended to 3pm until 10pm, Sunday to Friday.
Swan Hill Rural City Council Cultural Development and Libraries Manager Camille Cullinan said term one could be overwhelming for many families, especially for those with students starting secondary school or VCE.
“YourTutor have extended the hours of online homework help – so that when a student is stuck on a maths question after dinner, or revising for a test on a Sunday night, they can still get free, expert, personalised help using just their library card,” Ms Cullinan said.
School students can log in online, either from the library or from home, and get free access to an extended network of expert teachers and tutors.
Students can ask a question in maths, English, chemistry, biology, physics, business studies and more. A live expert helps them work out the problem in a one-to-one, personalised session – without simply giving the answer.
The library provides many valuable education resources for everyone in the community. Check their website or stop in to a branch to discuss how the library can help your household.
